Psalm 29:11

The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with Peace."

A word from Elizabeth:

Most christian music flows in the direction of "the people toward God", yet this site's music flows from "God toward the people". God has "given me" spiritual songs to raise up obedient and committed disciples of Christ, and these instrumentals will bring you into the Lord's presence so Spirit-to-spirit communication takes place. This is my spiritual gift in operation for the edification of the Body of Christ.

Covetousness

(Church, note Ezekial 33:31-33)

This topic was not even on my heart, before I heard His Spirit whisper to me:

"My People are struggling with COVETOUSNESS... which is a ROOT of many of their other sins. I want you to ADDRESS IT, as it is a widespread issue."

So here goes...

Verse 1:

 C                         G7

Covetousness...

                              Am                      G

We don’t give it much thought...

                                            F                                       Am                       G                            G7

But the Word says “The Covetous – THEY will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God”   (I Cor 6:10; Eph 5:5)

         C                            G7

And Covetousness...

                       Am     G

Is feeding society...

                              F                                                  Am

The notion that I MUST HAVE what’s newer – better –

             F                           G

Yes,  “I must have the BEST”.

Chorus:

                  F

Covetousness,

                            G

A sickness of selfishness

             Am

Says “I WANT”

                        F

Instead of declaring

                      Am

That what I HAVE

              G

I am THANKFUL for

               Am

And will REJOICE in the Lord

                   Am

With a contented heart –

                 F

It says “I WANT”

                       G

Instead of declaring

                      Am

That what I HAVE

          F

I am THANKFUL for

                Am

And I’ll rejoice in the Lord

        F                                G

Yes, I’ll REJOICE IN THE LORD

                   Am                                              Am

With a contented heart... A MOST-CONTENTED heart.

BRIDGE 1: Covetousness desires to GAIN whether it be status, money, goods, houses or lands – even people - usually at someone else’s expense. The word declares “Godliness with contentment is GREAT GAIN.”

Verse 2:

C                      G7

Covetousness

                   Am         G

A form of idolatry

    F             Am

Is evil and lustful

                     F

And causes much

             Am                            G

Of the social unrest in the World.

C                      G7

Covetousness

                                  Am                G

Our wanting what “THEY” have

                        F

Puts nations, and business, and people

Into the hands

     Am

of Our Enemy:

G                                   F           C

Satan, the Deceiver.

BRIDGE
C                      F

God says it is evil.

        G                     Am

God says that he hates it.

          F           G                   Am

It’s the root of many other sins....

         Am                F              G                    Am

Like robbery and murder, rioting, and violence...

Am             F                G                          C

Lying and Cheating, deceptions, and betrayals

Oh Yes,

F

Covetousness,

         G                                     C

Is the ROOT of many other sins.

Oh Yes,

F

Covetousness,

         G                                     C

Is the ROOT of many other sins.

SPOKEN:

Covetousness,

When part of your character

Will cause many of the Spiritual and physical conflicts that

You experience each day.

And Covetousness

Needs to be repented of...

It leads to backsliding and guilt, unfruitfulness, and lusts

And even your salvation

Is at stake with this SIN.

Turn away from it NOW.

You WILL be forgiven.

Without you having to “take it” or “have it”...

You may ask and receive

And “shall not want”.... (Ps 23)

Isaiah 53

(**I suggest you simply PLAY this, CLOSE your eyes, and RECEIVE THIS from the Lord, in QUIETNESS, without reading... or focus on your computer...)

Isaiah 53 (Amplified Bible)  THE REDEMPTIVE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE - FORETELLS OF CHRIST AND HIS FUTURE

1WHO HAS believed (and trusted, relied and clung to) our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been disclosed?

2For [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal or kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.

3He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.

4Surely He has borne our griefs (our sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and He carried our sorrows and pains , yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.

5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him, we are healed and made whole.

6All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.

7He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.

8By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living [stricken to His death] for the transgression of my [Isaiah's] people, to whom the stroke was due?

9And they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.

10Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick with our sicknesses. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

11He shall see [the fruit] of the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge of Himself [which He possesses and imparts to others] shall My [uncompromisingly] righteous One, My Servant, justify many and make many righteous (upright and in right standing with God), for He shall bear their iniquities and their guilt [with the consequences, says the Lord].

12Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and [He let Himself] be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore [and took away] the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious).

Two Questions

One day the Holy Spirit whispered to me,

(His still small voice was heard within my spirit.)

What He asked was a simple little question

Yet the question drastically changed my life.

He asked:

"Who knows you the Best? and Loves you the Most?"  3x

I could answer Him,

"No other than Jesus".

Jesus knows my thoughts,

He sees my ways,

He created me,

He knows me.

His love for me can't even be questionned

For He demonstrated it to me so clearly:

He was mocked and bruised,

scourged and beaten,

crucified and buried.

Then He conquered death

As He arose for me,

So that I could, from death,

Be made free!

And then, NEXT, the Holy Spirit

whispered to me,

(His still small voice was heard within my spirit.)

What He asked was ANOTHER simple question,

Yet the question drastically changed my life.

He asked,

"Then

who should YOU "KNOW" best?,

and LOVE the most?"  3x

I could answer him,

"No other than Jesus"

I should know His thoughts,

and observe His ways,

He created me

I should "know" Him,

Can my love for Him even be questioned?

As I demonstrate it to Him so clearly...

Am I mocked and bruised?

As I let my "flesh" be, crucified and buried...

Sin is brought to death, as He arises in me,

For I know that, from death, I AM FREE!

And NOW He asks YOU:

"Who knows you the best, and loves you the most?" 3x

Do you answer

"No other than Jesus."

"Who then should you know best and love the most?"

"Who should you know best, and love the most?" 2x

I hope you answer Him

"No other than Jesus"

Will you answer

"No other than Jesus"
